Koi Grey grew up LIMITED by poor physical health and financial resources.

As an asthmatic child, he was not allowed to join any strenuous physical activity. He never had the chance to engage in sports. Lack and limitation also came from Koi’s very humble economic circumstances. In fact, on his very 1st trail race, he wore borrowed shoes that were a few sizes too big for his feet. He started placing in local races without any training assistance from coaches or cutting-edge running gears. To become a race winning trail runner, Koi believed his spirit drew strength from the mountains. He claims it is this connection with nature and God’s creations that allow him to become “pure potential.”

Through financial support from friends, Koi was able to participate in 5 out of 32 ASIA TRAIL MASTER series of trail running races in Asia. Just 5 out of 32… yet against all odds, he managed to secure a spot on the TOP 5 list or a chance to win the title of "Asia Trail Master 2019."

It is in this light that I am reaching out for your support. International races require so much more resources than Koi can ever handle. I am raising funds for food, transportation, and housing both for his local and overseas training expenses.

I am driven to help people reach their full potential. There is something about assisting others in realizing their dreams. Perhaps it makes me feel UNLIMITED myself. I am hoping you feel the same way too.

Thanking all of you in advance for your kindness and generosity.

  • I’m a runner myself and I am touched by his story. I hope he gets all the fundings he need for this race and best of luck to him. YOU GOT THIS, KOI! :) I am glad the interest/love of road and trail racing are becoming popular in the Philippines. I hope to race there one day and possibly join one of the local trail/road racing groups.

  • Hi Sir Koi! We're friends in fb but I haven't got a chance to meet you in person yet. I'm a fan for outdoors and loves the mountains and nature as much as you do. This is just a very little help but hope it will be appreciated. I wish you a goodluck to all your races. Much support and finish strong! 💪❤
