Hello, my name is Jamil Galang, I'm a young musician from Philippines and I'm here to ask for support.
I'm a college student right now and music is my way of relieving some stress whenever I need to take a break. Music is really my passion, I taught myself how to play guitar and ukulele, as well as singing.
Sometimes, I do some song covers, record it and send it to my friends, I'm kinda shy to release it publicly because the sounds is not that good because I don't have any recording equipment but my phone, I don't have any budget for it because I put all my money to my college funds with the help of some academic scholarships from my campus.
One time, I tried busking because I really want to share my music. I went to our plaza, plugged my mic on the old amplifier that I found on our home, also I installed a piezo pickup on my ukulele as you can see on my Youtube video here.
(Btw the Youtube video I made was for a ukulele giveaway but I didn't win, at least I had fun doing it) and yea, managed to get some P600 for 3 hours. I was really nervous at first, but I learned how to enjoy the moment and just sang for hours.
That's my story of how I make music with things that I can only afford. The funds that I will get here will be spent on
This will really mean a lot to me because I really want to make a good music and my dream is to be a successful music artist!
Thank you so much everyone for listening to my story. Have a nice day!
Edit: I was invited to a restobar to perform and showcase my talent, but no payment, just the exposure. I played a guitar and ukulele but I only got this ukulele vid from an audience and posted it on my youtube
