An Amazonian Shaman’s Cause

This is a campaign to fund the construction of an Ayahuasca retreat in The amazon. It is on behalf of Carlos Alberto Palomino Berndt (or Alberto for short). Alberto is a Native Shaman who works and lives in the Peruvian side of the Amazon jungle. Alberto is trying to construct his own retreat in order to heal people using plant medicine. In order to achieve his goal, Alberto is working as a tourist guide in the many tourist camps in the Amazon jungle. But due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, tourism has washed up and so severely limited his ability to raise funds for his mission.

I met Alberto in the Amazon when I was journeying around Peru and have stayed in close contact with him, He has reached out to me and others to ask for help with his mission . Not being too familiar wtih technology, I have created this campaign on his behalf. I myself am donating to Alberto on a regular basis and It is my hope that others will see what a good cause this is for and donate too to help Alberto reach his goal. He needs around $3,000 to build one house for a patient to stay in when receiving treatment and he hopes to be able to treat around 20 -25 people at a time. The whole cost to fully build the retreat is around $30,000.

Update 09/02/21 – Alberto has sent me more videos and pictures of the ongoing construction of his retreat. I have also created a slideshow of all the images he has sent. The are also a few videos that I forgot to include initially.
