My daughter has been invited to travel and study in Austria, Switzerland, France, and Italy in the summer of 2013. As part of People to People, and educational exploration program founded by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, she will join other high school students from the Valdosta area as they ensure academic success, gain true global awareness, and experience other cultures first-hand.
Participation benefits students by opening their eyes to the world, can set them apart on college applications and help in their consideration for awards and scholarships, and returns a child who is more confident and eager to continue learning.
This opportunity will allow her to:
* See the world and earn academic credit on this once-in-a- lifetime educational travel opportunity
* Gain maturity and independence through unique activities
designed to challenge students in safe and rewarding ways
* Make a difference in the lives of others through local service-
* Gain a global education that is as effective as a full semester of
study abroard from an Ivy League college in improving cultural
intelligence, or CQ--for a funtion of the cost
