Alynna Bliz: I am stronger than a cancer!

The girl from the pictures is Alynna Bliz M.Torion, a 7 year old girl from Karaos, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur, Philippines. She was diagnosed with Leukemia when she was about 4 years old. Her mother worked in a hospital as a nursing aide but gave up her job due to her daughter's condition, while her father is a DPWH laborer. She is the eldest among the three siblings in the family.

Alynna used to be an energetic young girl with lots of dreams. But her condition has been a hindrance for her to enjoy the perks of childhood..

After series of treatments and chemo therapies in which she survived, we thought she was completely healed. However, just recently this month, Alynna again felt uneasy, numbness and pain completely embraced her. Her eyes were partially blinded by cancer cells. She can't clearly see objects in distance. She got low platelet counts and series of blood transfusions were already done.

Her doctor told that she must undergo laboratory test which cost P22,000.00 to be conducted outside the premises of Southern Philippine Medical Center [SPMC].Stronger Cancer cells have emerged and she will then again start another chemo sessions, just like before years ago. But this time, those will be stronger.The said laboratory test result will be the basis for her next treatment.

Her parents's income are not sufficient to provide the medical finances of their daughter. Government's financial assistance is of great help, however, delayed assistance means delayed chemo therapy.
