Good day and mabuhay blessed be God forever, I am Alvin N. Colinares Jr. 26 years old from 245 Samonte St. Brgy. Holy Spirit Diliman Q.C. I am an only child and an orphan since my Father died from heart disease and my mother died from stroke, but that doesn't stop me from pursuing my dreams and became a scholar in Siena College Quezon City. Everything went well until I became sick from a rare kind of cancer.
last summer of 2013 I was assigned to have a mission in kayan tadian, mt. province as a part of our service being a scholar. After a month of mission I got home and that started my dilemma, I had a lump on my lower left ear and I had to stop schooling because of my health. We've gone through different hospitals and different findings we're given to us. luckily, after a year I became an under charity patient at a good hospital The Medical City.
August, 2014 I had been operated in the said hospital and had a biopsy finding out that it was Adeno Carcinoma of the parotid gland, a rare kind of cancer which only 1 out of 10 people are having this kind of cancer and most common among old people, Doctors said I was just lucky to have it. Having it diagnosed as cancerous tumor I had to undergo 3 cycles of chemotherapy and 35 shots of radiation.
After the Chemorad I became fine and felt better, and so I came back to school and continue my dreams. Until last February of 2018 before I graduate, I found out that I have a tumor again in my left ear and it was a recurrence of my cancer. I was down and almost didn't graduate, but still I manage to make it to graduation. I came back to the same hospital and confirmed that yes, it was a recurring cancer that I had before and this time it is even worse. This time they can't do an initial operation because it's much bigger and they have to be sure that they can get all the tumors without remains, the only thing we can do first is again chemorad to hopefully shrink the tumor and make the operation possible. We didn't accept the chemorad at first because my unties and uncle's we're worried about it and they opted for me to try alternative medicines. For months I have taken herbals but nothing happen and it didn't worked out for me, so now I came back to the doctors and they say that I have to receive chemorad as soon as possible to ease my burden and hopefully be healed.
Now, I am asking help, may it be financial, medical assistance or any help that you could provide is deeply appreciated. I am an orphan and I only rely to my uncles and aunties help, sometimes things needed in the hospital are being delayed because of the lack of funds. I hope and pray that your good heart will be pleased to help me survive and continue my dreams.
