Campaign Story
Alvin Cacayan was supposed to be deployed for work overseas last November of 2018 as a marine engineer. However, upon the acquisition of his medical certificate, a mass has been found in his thyroid gland. This mass was biopsied via Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy, and he was then diagnosed to have Papillary Thyroid Cancer.
The family wants to pursue the treatment as this type of cancer is completely treatable via the Radioactive Iodine Treatment, but is in dire need of financial support as Alvin is the breadwinner in the household- and given his diagnosis, is currently unable to provide for his family.
