Hi, I am Dan Ruffy Alvarez. My family was going home from Baguio City when they had an accident along the highway at Pugo, La Union. A friend suggested this to me, than going from door to door or person to person asking for money to lend to us, or donate to us. I really don't know what to do anymore!
Here's an email of the police report that was sent to me by the local police of Pugo.
We humbly ask anyone who could financially help us with our hospital bills, it's rising so fast by the day because I still have my mom, my dad, and sister still in hospital beds. My dad is still in the ICU. My dad has his own health card. And the rest of them don't. My mom got little help from her Philhealth and Senior Citizen Card. My sister isn't employed. She basically cares for my niece as a single mom, and manage our own sari-sari store. I cannot explain our situation enough. We are merely exhausting our every resource. We already have received some donations from friends and relatives, but it still doesn't amount to pay even the partial billing. I am left with myself, together with some help from relatives to take care of them.
As for their current condition:
My dad is still using a ventilator. His ribs were broken, T1 to T9 according to his doctor. He has trouble with his carbon dioxide levels. He is diabetic and hypertensive. So, aside from him trying to heal from his broken ribs, his battle with his diabetes is worse. A lot are going to his ICU accommodation and his medications at the moment.
My mom has a fractured arm, almost near her wrist. She also have a lot of bruises all over her body and her head/face, especially where her seat belt was. She is about to undergo a surgery for her broken arm, as well as her fractured pelvic (which wasn't found earlier from the emergency room).
My sister had a laceration on her head, which was immediately closed on the same night of the accident. Her scalp, according to her doctor, literally flipped as if it was a cover of a pocket. She also has a fractured femur, and multiple wounds around her body and arms, especially her face. She used to have an eye glass.
Here are pictures of my Dad, my mom,and my sister and her baby.
My niece is miraculously fine though!
I never got to take a picture of the yaya, She was transferred to the Regional Hospital of La Union. But, here's a diagram of her fractures.
PLEASE HELP US! The money we have to spend to their surgeries and medications are far beyond our capacity.
