My husband and I are both teachers. Kids are our number one passion in life & as any other newly wed couple we wanted to start a family of our own. As the months went by we tried and didn't give too much attention to the fact that nothing seems to be happening.

After a year we realised we need to do some investigation...

Nothing can prepare you for the day you sit in a cold medical room with old magazines around you and the emotionless voice of a doctor in the background saying: " I'm afraid both you and your husband suffers from infertility and unfortunately will not be able to fall pregnant naturally ". He walks out closes the door and a nurse is sent to talk to you and explain your "options". IUI , IVF, ICSI.

Not ready to give up you immediately start doing research and the first thing you find out is that medical aids fo not support fertility treatments. Really? It is liks a disease that you are born with, not self inflicted, where do they draw the line.

Each day that you wake up you can't help but wish, dream & desire. And at night when you go to bed you need to stop yourself from crying, fighting & giving up. Being on hormone treatment just made all of this even worse and you get to a point where you start questioning your purpose in life. Each month you have to deal with all 5 stages of grief: you deny, bargain, get angry, cry & accept.

Prelox, staminogrow, clomid, folic acid, ovulation & pregnancy test is what you will find on the the shopping list each month.

Then you start praying and hoping , praying and hoping & praying and hoping... UNTIL finally - a positive. We're pregnant, although it was just for a week, THAT was the best week ever.

We are trying to raise funds to pay for IFV treatment as this is our only hope. We hope that you will join us in the journey ahead.

All we need is 200 people to donate R200.

You can also donate directly into our bank account if you do not havel PayPal facilities.
