My name is Tyra, and I’m raising money to go to college. There are many expense when it comes to going to college that scholarships don’t cover, for me before I accept any of the offers to the three colleges I applied to I need to visit them. These funds will go toward me traveling to Pennsylvania State University for their accepted students event and to speak to the disability resource center, traveling to Carroll College, in Montana, to see the school, speak to the anthrozoology department, and to the disability resources center. Both trips will require overnight stays so the money we raise will go toward all travel expenses. Then I will continue my fund raising to raise money for actually attending college, the initial tuition fee and the rest of the tuition and fees that don’t get covered from my scholarships. Now you know what your donations are going toward I will tell you about me, the person receiving your donations. I am a very unique student because I have two disabilities, the first being Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, witch cause mobility issues, and the second being Dyslexia, a learning disability. Despite my disabilities I am an honors student with a 4.3 GPA. My favorite activity is training my dog new tricks and hanging with my cousins, I also participate in many clubs at school; the Rays of Hope club, a special needs inclusion club, The National Honors Society, and The American Sign Language Honors society. My plan for college is to get a degree in Animal Behavior and use my background of animal behavior to train all types of dogs. I really Appreciate all of the financial help I can get and thank you for your donation.
