Getting an education is hard enough already. The students of Mesa Community College want to make it a little easier for our students by creating the Ally Success Academy. Our goal is to help first year students, especially students from at risk populations such as single parents, ex-offenders, low income, disabled persons, and veterans, make it through their first semester by having a mentor show them how to be successful in college. This includes meeting deadlines, budgeting for expenses, what it takes to make good grades, dealing with personal issues, and even learning how to find resources to meet needs. We would like to get going with training the mentors as soon as possible so that we can recruit our mentees and get them going, we just need your help. We value education and want to see all students who attend Mesa Community College be successful.
