All together Under the Same Roof

In Athens there's a place where time, love and support is given to migrants and asylum seekers, but the current buildings are in a poor condition and too small, limit its action. We have to find a new place!

Recently, there have been very strong storms in Athens, which has lead to flooding in the Love & Serve Without Boundaries (LSWB) center in Athens, Greece. Food supplies, Food supplies which helped hundreds of family are lost. All languages classes are suspended and they were very useful for adults and children to integrate in the community Unfortunately this is not only a one-time occurrence, LSWB is likely to disappear, which is why the organisation must relocate as soon as possible.

How can I help?

LSWB has received an offer to buy a house. The house, as shown in the photos, has plenty of space for all of Love & Serve’s lessons, daycare and distribution to take place. In order to buy this house, we must raise €350,000. That’s why, we have create this fundraising page, which we will share with you all to donate and/or share with friends and family.

Who are we?

Love and Serve Without Boundaries (LSWB) is a non-governemental organization run by volunteers, which works to support refugees and migrants. Our association is based in Athens, Greece and was founded by Maria an inspirational person who experienced first-hand the difficulties of being migrant. For this very reason, in 2015, Maria decided to devote her entire life to migrants and asylum seekers by founding LSWB. The organization is mainly involved in teaching languages (English, German, Greek) and giving a minimum of help to families: food, hygiene products, baby products (feeding bottles, pacifiers, diapers).

What will the funding be used for?

LSWB aims to provide refugees and asylum seekers with all of the tools necessary to integrate into society in Greece and/or their desired destination. Our main activities are:

- Food, clothing and first supplies distribution

- Hygiene products, baby products (feeding bottles, pacifiers, diapers) distribution

- Nursery service

- Language classes: English, Greek, French, German

- Sewing workshops

- Art workshops

- Hospitality for people in trouble

- A gab session for women

- Goods storage

And if we don't reach the goal?

In order to buy this house, where we can bring together all the activities and improve the efficiency of the organisation, we must raise €350,000.

If it will not reach the goal, all money raised will go towards funding current and future space requirements or, if the owner agrees, we pay the down payment and then move in then. Maria can pay for the house every month until she collects the full amount.

Every week we will be informing our donors of the amount we have collected. Everything will be put open and we will share all the paper work with anybody who will need it and even in social media if need be. Maria really wants to be transparent in any way.

This is a real solidarity, integration, listening space made possible thanks to hundreds of volunteers who every year give skills, time and love to someone who really needs them.
