Campaign Story
The Cayman Heart Fund is fundraising for surgery for Mrs Aleida Jerez Camejo
Mrs Aleida Jerez Camejo is a resident of the Cayman Islands. Originally from Cuba, Mrs Aleida is a dependent on her husband's status as a refugee in the Cayman Islands. Mrs Aleida is currently suffering from severe mitral valve regurgitation . A cardiologist has recommended early mitral valve repair/replacement surgery to relieve her symptoms and prevent deterioration of her heart function.
Return for treatment to Cuba is not feasible. Medical insurance in the Cayman Islands has been declined. Your generosity can save Aleida’s life.
All money raised through this campaign will go towards the USD$19,000 surgery cost for Mrs Aleida. To the extent any moneys raised turn out to be surplus to what Mrs Aleida requires the surplus money will be used in accordance with the Cayman Heart Fund's mission to financially assist other individuals in the Cayman Islands who need timely access to cardiovascular treatment.
