A Battle with Stage 4 Lung Cancer

I am humbly raising funds for my mother's treatment and hospitalization who is currently at the ICU for 3 weeks. She is Anesia Balanse, 66 y/o. She has been in and out of the hospital since she was diagnosed last Febuary this year. She undergone biopsy at PGH and was diagnosed of Lung Cancer with Brain Metastasis (Stage 4). From that moment, we didn't waste time, we followed what her doctor instructed us to do. She was referred to a radiation oncologist and finished her 10 days radiation therapy for her Brain Tumor that same month. Then we were referred to a Medical Oncologist after that. She started her 4 cycles of chemotherapy 3rd week of March. Her doctor requested for a PET CT Scan after the second cycle to check the effectiveness of the treatment since she has a rare cancer which is Adenosquamous Lung Carcinoma. Sadly, the treatment seems to be not effective based on the Pet Scan result. So her doctor told us that she should undergo Immunotherapy that cost around 160,000 pesos per cycle. We agreed. However, before starting the treatment, she undergo a test to check if treatment will be effective to her case. Sadly again, result was PDL1 negative. And it was explained that patients who has negative PDL1 most likely will not benefit from the treatment. So she was scheduled to have chemotherapy again but different medicine. However, that time, she was starting to get weak, so we refused that treatment. We tried alternative medicine instead for the whole month of May. But it doesn't seem to be effective as well. Until month of June, we rushed her to the Hospital due to Pneumonia of the Immunocompromised. Until now she is at the ICU fighting for her life.
