Jhommel Molina Memorial Fund

Jhommel Molina was one special child. She had cerebral palsy. She was the only child of a very good friend - Rommel. She had one of the most angelic and pure smiles.

On May 20, 2016, Rommel missed work because he had to bring Jhommel to the hospital. When we finally heard back from him, we were distraught with news of his daughter, Jhommel, having to be confined at the Philippine Children's Medical Center's (PCMC) ICU. She was found to have been suffering from severe complications of pneumonia, affecting her vital organs. She underwent her first surgery on May 22 to remove fluids from her lungs and heart. Four days later, doctors found a mass surrounding her heart.

Jhommel started chemotherapy on June 2. She underwent tracheostomy on June 17. She had to celebrate her 17th birthday in the ICU, where she had stayed for over three months. It was only last August 15 that she was finally moved from the ICU to the Recovery Room.

The bills had been mounting and, despite all the help friends and family could bring together, even from government institutions and local celebrities who had visited her, there is still a huge sum that has to be paid. Shown below is their hospital billing statement from August 3rd, but still lacks updated professional fees of doctors and specialists who helped save her life.

Last night, Jhommel's vital statistics began failing. Earlier today, September 15, 2016, her heart finally gave in. She passed away in the arms of her parents, Rommel and Jho.

We wish to ask for your help. We wish to ask for whatever amount you can give to help Jhommel and his parents pay for the medical bills as well as her funeral.
