 ALICIA'S FIGHT

    My dear friend, Alicia Bertine, has been battling pancreatic cancer since 2008. She has undergone extensive surgies, chemo treatmants, radiation, experimental treatments and more, all while maintaining her brilliant charitable personality, and her constant ability to keep the faith and stay positive. While undergoing chemo last year at Mayo Clinic in her hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, Alicia was advised by her doctors at Mayo to seek other chemo options, as her current chemo was, slowly but surely, becoming an inaffective weapon against her cancer. In the last couple months Alicia has had to relocate to Staten Island and begin new chemo treatments at Sloan Kettering in NYC. On May 18th of this year, a 5k and silent auction will held here in Jacksonville in an effort to help raise money for Alicia's extensive medical bills and to help pay for her huge moving expenses. I'm asking for donations to help pay for expenses needed to pull off this important event. Ya gotta spend money to make money :)

The ultimate goal here is to make Alicia's fight against cancer as uncompliacted as possible, and the best way to do that is in our wallets.  Please help if you can. Every penny helps tremendously and is immeasurably appreciated. Thank you all so much.
