Alfie Butler

On the 12th April I will be cycling 86 miles to raise money for Alfie Butler.  This is the equivalent of cycling from Locks Heath (where I live) to Wembley stadium in London!!!

Alfie was diagnosed with a level 3 aggressive cancerous brain tumour on the 1st February 2015 at just 8 months old.  In the past 5 weeks alone he has undergone 13 hours of brain surgery to remove the tumour, 4 other operations, various lumber punctures, suffered a hole in his lung, a chest and other infections and had a seizure!!  Life for Alfie and his family has been turned upside down since his diagnosis and he has a long road ahead of him in his recovery process.  This will start with chemotherapy every 14 days for the next year as he is too young for radiotherapy.

All the money I raise will be passed onto the family for the future care needs of Alfie.  Being a father myself,  I cannot comprehend receiving news like this about your child so out of the blue.  He has already proved he is a strong little boy who is going to fight this every step of the way and I just want to do my bit to support him and his family.
