My wife Katie and I are raising money for the Arthritis Society of Canada through the Joints In Motion program. If we raise enough money, we'll be participating in the 2014 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend in Orlando, FL. Running in the Disney Marathon has been a goal of mine for years, and why not help out a worthwhile charity in the process?
We've been training for a few months now, but still need to raise our money. Of the $10,000 that we're trying to raise, $8500 will go directly to the Arthritis Society to help the 4.6 million Canadians with Arthritis.
A Little More About Joints In Motion
Joints In Motion is a national program, and is the number one fundraising initiative of the Society in Atlantic Canada. Without Joints In Motion, the Maritime branches of the Arthritis Society would cease to exist. Since 1999, over 5,500 people have raised over $33 million for the Arthritis Society, all of which goes directly to fund arthritis research and benefit those affected by arthritis.
