Running towards the Olimpics – Alerg spre Olimpiada

When we asked her parents to describe her,they said:" if we had to describe Maya in one word we would say chocolate. Why? Because she's a sweet girl,loving and full of energy. Eventhough she is only 11 years old, you can count on her anytime. Maya likes to take care of her younger sisters and her schoolmates always look for her help when they are working on a project together. She reads a lot, mainly historical books and she has a collection of clay figures made by herself. If she could,she would adopt all street animals. But what Maya likes most is running."

Maya Lee Imani started practicing athletics at 5 years old. Ever since ,she has one dream : to participate to the Olimpics. This year her parents started a project : "running towards the Olimpics" aiming to help Maya participate to the Olimpics in Paris in 2024. This project will run for 6 years. Maya is a member of the L.P.s Brasov Sports Club, the athletics department. Maya has already proven to the coaches in Romania her huge potential,but she needs some great investments,estimated at 60,000€ (10.000/year) in integrated sportive training.

Her family is supporting her according to possibilities,but to rach maximum potential to participate among the best prepared athletes in the world,Maya needs a special trainig program, nutrition and counceling. The project " running towards the Olimpics" which we plan on conducting for 6 years has as a purpose the insurance of the best level of training needed for great performance. To reach this goal,Maya needs to work with a team which includes : coach,psychologist doctor in sportive medicine and nutritionist. Moreover,to sustain performance she needs vitamins, high quality sports equipment, cantonments during the summer and winter too, and also participating to different national competitions.

Until now,Maya has been a constant presence at all contests organised by the Brasov County Asotiation of Athletics ( Cupa Luceafarul 2016-2017, Cupa Coltea 1920 Brasov 2016-2017, Cupa CSM Brasov 2017, InSport GrandPrix 2017), a great number of Charity races (The Casiopeea Cross, Run for Iulia, Cross of the hearts, together for Robert Cadar,the health cross),,and also the kids races within Brasov Marathon 2016 2017 and the International Brasov Marathon 2015 2017. Maya's talent and work is be prooven by many medals and diplomas the she won.

Rugati sa o descrie, parintii ei a raspuns “Daca ar fi sa o caracterizam pe Maya intr-un singur cuvant, am spune ciocolata. De ce? Pentru ca este o fetita dulce, iubitoare si totodata foarte energica. Chiar daca are numai 11 ani, te poti baza pe ea oricand. Mayei ii place sa aiba grija de surorile ei mai mici, colegele de la scoala ii cauta ajutorul mereu cand au de facut proiecte impreuna. Citeste mult, carti istorice in general si are propria ei colectie de figurine din lut facute chiar de ea. Daca ar putea ,ar adopta toate animalele fara stapan. Dar ce ii place Mayei cel mai mult sa faca, este sa alerge.”

Maya Lee Imani a inceput sa practice atletismul de la varsta de 5 ani. De atunci are un singur vis: sa participe la Olimpiada. Anul acesta parintii ei au demarat un proiect “Alerg spre Olimpiada” care are ca obiectiv participarea Mayei la Jocurile Olimpice de la Paris din 2024. Acest proiect se intinde pe o perioada de 6 ani.

Maya este legitimata la Clubul Sportiv L.P.S. Brasov, sectia atletism. Maya a dovedit deja antrenorilor de atletism din tara ca are un potential urias, dar care necesita investitii majore estimate la €60,000 (€10,000/an) in pregatire sportiva integrata. Familia o sustine in masura posibilitatilor, dar pentru a ajunge la maximum de potential sportiv pentru a concura alturi de cei mai bine pregatiti atleti din lume, Maya are nevoie de un program special de antrenament, nutritie si consiliere. Proiectul "Alerg spre Olimpiada" pe care planuim sa il derulam pe o perioada de 6 ani are ca scop asigurarea nivelului de pregatire propice marii performante. Pentru a atinge acest scop, Maya trebuie sa lucreze cu o echipa formata din: antrenor, psiholog, doctor in medicina sportiva si doctor nutritionist. In plus, pentru a putea sustine performanta este nevoie de vitaminizare, de echipament sportiv de foarte buna calitate, de cantonamente, atat pe timpul verii, cat si pe timpul iernii, dar si de participarea la diferite competitii nationale.

Pana in prezent, Maya a fost o prezenta constanta la toate concursurile organizate de Asociatia Judeteana de Atletism Brasov ( Cupa Luceafarul 2016-2017, Cupa Coltea 1920 Brasov 2016-2017, Cupa CSM Brasov 2017, InSport GrandPrix 2017), la numeroase curse cu caracter caritabil( Crosul Casiopeea, Alerg pentru Iulia, Crosul Inimilor, Impreuna pentru Robert Cadar, Crosul Sanatatii, etc.) precum si la cursele destinate copiilor din cadrul Maratonului Brasov 2016-2017 si Maratonului International Brasov 2015-2017. Talentul si munca Mayei de pana acum pot fi dovedite cu numeroase medalii si diplome castigate.

Fie ca doriti sa investiti in viitorul unui atlet dedicat ce are un mare potential de a aduce medalii Romaniei sau poate ca pur si simpl doriti sa participati la realizarea visului unui copil, din orice motiv ati dori sa o faceti, Maya si familia ei va vor fi etern recunoscatori pentru orice mic ajutor financiar ii puteti acorda pentru a demara proiectul Alerg spre Olimpiada.
