Alasana’s Kidney Transplant

Alasana Jarju is a 30-year-old teacher from The Gambia. He has been diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease and requires a kidney transplant as soon as possible. Alasana has already found a kidney donor: his friend since childhood Ebrima Sanneh.

The Gambia, however, does not have the medical technology to perform such an operation. So Alasana, together with his kidney donor, and Awa Manga (his sister and primary carer), have to go overseas to Pakistan to have the surgery.

I, Hassan Jammeh, on behalf of all Gambians in the diaspora, am doing this fundraiser so we can all help Alasana get the surgery he needs.

No amount is too small --any amount will surely be appreciated. You don't even have to be a Gambian yourself to spare a little to help ease the financial burden that has befallen my fellowman and friend because of his medical condition.

As we all know, the service fee associated with sending money to The Gambia from anywhere in the world is mostly calculated per transaction. As I am currently based in Taiwan, let us just please consolidate however much we will gather from this fundraiser and I will send it to The Gambia altogether so as just to pay a one-time service fee.

Alasana Jarju ，是位30歲的甘比亞國籍老師，他被診斷患有晚期腎衰竭疾病，經過醫師評估必須盡快進行腎臟移植手術。目前他已幸運地找到一位腎臟捐獻者─他的兒時玩伴 Ebrima Sanneh。

然而由於甘比亞當地並沒有完善的醫療技術可以執行該手術，因此，Alasana和腎臟捐獻者、以及Awa Manga〈Alasana的姊姊；主要照顧者〉三人，將一同出國橫跨至巴基斯坦進行移植手術。

我，Hassan Jammeh〈賈哈山〉，在此代表所有散居於國外的甘比亞人民，籌辦此項募款活動；希望能藉此幫助Alasana獲得手術機會並戰勝疾病。

您無需顧慮自身非甘比亞國籍；我們非常歡迎來自世界各地的資助者，無論資助金額的多寡，對於您的支持及愛心我們都深表謝意。一點點的捐獻，都將為我的甘比亞同胞─Alasana，減輕因醫療狀況而產生的莫大經濟負擔。
