Alan is a 4-5 month old kitten who is currently living in Cairo in Egypt who popped up on my Facebook wall a week ago and I couldn't sit back and not help him. He was found as a feral street cat by a local lady in February 2015 with horrific injuries to his leg and tail. His paw is completely gone and only bone is left and fully exposed which is causing him great pain, part of his tail is also missing and he has suffered some facial injuries possibly due to a car accident or wild dog attack. He was left to fend for himself on the streets of Cairo and lived with these injuries for almost a month before he was caught. There is no doubt that would have died from his injuries due to their severity and will die unless he gets the veterinary treatment and love that he needs.  I am trying to raise £800 to provide urgent veterinary treatment for his current condition, food, accommodation and travel to the UK. Rescue space or funding is not available from any rescues in his area so I am self funding this as he will not survive if left in Egypt in his current condition and time is critical to his survival. He will be turned out on to the street with no chance of survival. Alan urgently needs painkillers, antibiotics and care and to be in the UK as he will not survive in Egypt on the streets. Such a young cat deserves a chance of a good life, in his very short life he has known nothing but pain and misery. Life is very tough on the streets of Cairo with constant risk of wild dog attacks, severe cruelty at the hands of humans as well as poisoning. Alan has been through enough and I will do what it takes to bring him here away from that life. But to do this, Alan and I really need the help of people who are kind and generous enough to see that Alan and I need some financial support to make this happen for him. It will take 4 months for Alan to reach the UK all being well. He will firstly have to be microchipped, have a Rabies injection, vaccinations, blood test and a further blood test in 90 from initial Rabies injection and then he will be fit to travel. Alan will also need a suitable crate to travel in as well as flight fees and ferry costs from Brussels. Any donation would be massively appreciated and can give Alan the chance of life that he needs. No matter how small the donation, every little helps. Alan is a 4-5 month old kitten who is currently living in Cairo in Egypt.
