Alaina Case Fundraiser

Our Family was blessed with our 3rd baby girl on May 30, 2012. A beautiful, healthy, dark haired bundle of joy.... Alaina RaeAnne was welcomed home by mommy, daddy and her 2 older sisters, Alyssa and Aleigha. One evening in October 2012, we noticed Alaina doing this strange thing with her eyes. After a trip to the ER and several doctor visits, we were referred to a pediatric neurologist for further testing. After several visits with the neurologist, we were referred to Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN for a second opinion.  That's when Alaina was diagnosed with Infantile Spasms. Infantile Spasms is a form of Seizure/Epilepsy. Since November 2012, Alaina has been on several different medications which has resulted in her being approx 4-5 months behind on her development (Walking, crawling, talking, etc) and has had multiple EEG's (Brain Scans). Recently we were able to get her into see a doctor at Children's Medical Center in Omaha. But, unfortunately, more tests, different medications, and travel out of state to a Specialty Hospital in St Paul MN are in store for Mid-August.  Alaina's recent EEG (July 2013) shows she has a VERY Severe Seizure Disorder.   We plan to take the trip to MN but we aren't going to stop there. We will do what we can to make sure our daughter is getting the best possible care and treatment. Please help us with this process.
