My birthday fundraiser to support widows & orphans in Ghana during COVID19

Today is my 29th birthday and I want to use the opportunity to raise funds for widows and orphans in Ghana through an organization that I have been involved with since I was 11 years old. My dad also died in 1995 leaving behind 4 children. There’s no social support for such families from the loss of the main breadwinner of the family. On top of that traditional kinship norms causes widows and orphans to loose assets left behind by the deceased family to extended family kinsmen. This was a lived experience and my mom started God Cares widows and orphans NGO to support other woman in her situation.
Over the past 18 years we have supported so many widows and their families. This COVID season is particularly difficult time for these vulnerable households. Today, I want to use this day of love to reach out to the world to help me support these women. My plan is to donate $30 to 100 households in Ghana.
