Akela Studies Abroad

I've been accepted to study abroad this fall with Arcadia University at their Umbra Institute in Perugia, Italy! I will be there for the whole fall semester, studying Italian and social sciences, engaging in a completely different culture, and experiencing something truly transformative. This page is aimed at raising money for my transportation and additional costs.

I see this semester abroad as an extension of my time this summer covering events in DC for The Diplomatic Courier, a global affairs magazine based in the capitol. While abroad I hope to improve my fluency in Italian and open up some doors in the journalism world for pursuing coverage of international issues there.
