Desi in tara am fost la controale periodice la medicul pediatru, acesta nu a observat absolut nimic, din contra, desi parintii mei observasera cateva nereguli la ochisori, acesta a tinut sa mentioneze ca niciun oftalmolog nu are ce sa ii faca pana la 1 an. Norocul meu a fost sa ajung in franta ptr chimioterapie, altfel nu as fi apucat varsta de 1an . Din pacate tratamentul nu are efect si ochisorii mei nu vad lumea, nu-mi pot vedea parintii, familia, soarele, cerul ci doar ii aud si ii simt.

My name is Vlad, born on a Tuesday on 13 with a mutation on chromosome 13. About two months ago, I was diagnosed with Bilateral Retinoblastoma. Retinoblastoma is a form of cancer care that starts in the retina, the back of the eye. For any normal type, RB1 is very important, it helps cells not grow chaotic, not clone indefinitely. In his case, this gene is mutant and does not have the ability to stop cells, cloning without control and many other forms of cancer. The RB1 mutation is present in all the cells in my body, including the cells in both retina. All life must be kept under surveillance and followed by weekly treatments and analyzes. Although in the country I have been on regular checkups with a pediatrician, he has not noticed absolutely nothing; on the contrary, although my parents notice some irregularities in the eyes, he has stated that no ophthalmologist has anything to do until 1 year . My luck came to France for chemotherapy, otherwise not as a son of 1 year old. Unfortunately, the treatment does not work and the eyes do not see the world, I can not see my parents, my family, the sun, the sky, but I just hear and feel them. The doctors told us to wait at the end of the month for Enucleation (eye surgery). Parents are hard in this situation. Rent, living and treatments are very expensive. I know it's a long and hard road to go but I'm ready. From Mommy's belly I'm happy, I smile, I laugh most of the time and music is my comfort. I have to get to Australia for better treatment, a better chance of life. Australia are the best schools for the blind in the world. That's where I learned how to handle this abyss. They have a laser technology that helps blind children like me to walk and avoid the obstacle. I will learn to write and read and how to use a computer, plus many other abilities to help me in this crazy journey that I did not ask to take part in. It is very important to start this new life as soon as possible as we are still a baby. The big problem is that my family is very hard to get a visa for Australia. My mother is 23 years old and 29 years old, it's practically impossible for them to work now. We need help for the AU visa, pay for school, many treatments and weekly analyzes. It is very important to detect early on all the forms of cancer that lurk every day.
