Air Force Veteran’s House Hold Goods

I separated from the Air Force in April of 2016. I returned from Qatar in February of that year and was already deemed behind schedule for out processing. The way the digital outprocessing works is you get certai. Things checked off automatically and one of those things was the house hold goods shipment set up. I completely take full responsibility for that because I still should have known that I needed to set that up. I moved back to California and continued to make payments for almost 2 full years and hoping I could have a window of opportunity to drive down to Nevada (storage is in Las Vegas because I was stationed at Nellis AFB to get my things out of storage but that opportunity never came. Life began to catch up and starting in February of this year I struggled to make any payments and I was informed that my belongings will be put up for auction on the 26th of July unless paid in full and must be removed immediately. I can provide proof of the storage unit, proof of the amount owed, proof of the impending auction, and any other sort of proof that may be asked for. This is extremely embarrassing but this is not one of those situations where I have nothing to lose. In fact, I have everything to lose by NOT asking for this help. I’m not a victim here and it’s completely my fault but I have things in this storage that mean the absolute world to me (including military awards and decorations I received through the years). So, I am pleading for help and I am willing to work with anyone to help secure this for me. Thank you for the understanding and for taking the time to read this far down.
