Campaign Story
Aila Morena, a 19-year old student, has been diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) last May 2017. She has been experiencing the symptoms early this year but was not aware. She had rashes appear on her face and body, pain in the muscles and fever. Visits to the doctors were made. She then sought check ups from a nephrologist due to kidney problems.Last April, she became hospitalized due to recurring fever for 3 weeks. After several laboratory tests to find out the cause of her sickness, she returned home without finding the real cause. Later, she became hospitalized again and weeks after, the doctors diagnosed her with Lupus. This time, she's in much pain, she can't eat properly and has trouble sleeping.
She is currently in PGH right now for medication. Recently, she experienced memory loss. As of June 30, 2017- she undergoes medication for her kidneys and pneumonia. There are 11 dextroses connected to her.
Her mom is a simple homemaker and her father is an employee in Marikina City.
