Aihleen’s battle

Hi Everyone!

This is the new fundraising page we have set up for ate Aih. Unfortunately the first page we’ve set up via youcaring was shutdown as it was acquired by gofundme. Since gofundme is not available in the Philippines, the pages set up through youcaring in PH has been shutdown.

The original note we’ve out in on youcaring is below for your reference. We would like to thank everyone who have helped in any way they can, all those who have prayed with us and are still praying!

We would like to knock on your doors once again as ate aih needs 150k by Saturday for her 7th infusion of herceptin as part of her treatment plan. We are all doing everything we can to reach our goal but we’re not even half way there. We sold shirts (and still selling — which you can check out on our fb page “sale for a cause”), we sold pastries and preloved items as well.

We are very hopeful that we will reach the 150k mark on Saturday. We are all believers that nothing is impossible! Please please help us on this 5-day journey to reach our goal.

My friends and I have decided to put up a fundraiser page for our dear friend Aihleen. Our friendship goes beyond social gatherings and summer outings. We're more like family than friends. We want to help "Ate Aih" (as we fondly) call her with her greatest battle yet.

A loving mother, a caring wife, a responsible daughter, a thoughtful sister and an amazing friend rolled into one. People around Aihleen is surely blessed to have her in their lives.

Someone whose faith is stronger than any force known to man, Aihleen is willing to fight... she will fight for her family, she will fight to see what the future holds for her...

Aihleen has been battling cancer for more than a year now. She has Stage 3A breast cancer. We are knocking on your hearts, to join her and emerge triumphant in this fight. Aihleen will be undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy to get another chance to live a healthy life. She will need all the help she can get, financially and spiritually.

We will be posting below the first breakdown of her treatment and give updates regularly.

Aihleen is from Pampanga, Philippines. She is married with one 3yo daughter. Her husband has a job but as we all know how much employees in the Philippines earn, it is not enough to sustain the medical expenses. In January, Ate Aih had mastectomy, her left breast was removed. Biopsy of the lump that was removed revealed she will need to undergo chemo. (details on 1st 4 rounds of chemo is posted on updates)

Ate Aih also helps in supporting her dad's weekly diaysis. Even with her current condition she sees to it that she is able to support her dad.

All the money that will be raised will go to her medical expenses. Aside from this fundraising page, we will also be holding a garage sale as well as sell meat products, brownies and meat products.
