In January I'm going to be doing the Budapest to Bamako rally, which is the world's biggest amateur charity rally - it's been around for 11 years now. In 2015 over 400 people went on the rally from over 40 countries to deliver aid to Mauritania and Mali. Mali is one of the world's poorest countries, annual income is less than 800 pounds! In the previous years the rally delivered hundreds of bikes so that children could get to schools, solar cookers, mosquito nets and general aid. In 2015 the teams built a radio station at Village Ventures in Diema and delivered trucks full of aid and ambulances got donated too. For 2016 the aim is similar - raise funds and deliver as much aid to these struggling countries as possible.
Your support would be really appreciated! If you'd like to know more about this cause please visit the official website: http://www.budapestbamako.org/en
I'm writing a blog about this project as well which will have videos and photos throughout the journey: http://offtobamako.blogspot.co.uk/
It also includes our journey so far... including the failed attempt to go this year due to technical issues but we're back on track and prepared to go next year but for that we need your help too! I'd really appreciate all your help - these countries need you too! Thanks and God bless!
