Aid for Michelle!

Blessed day everyone,

My name is Richard (aka: Cali) and I’m writing in behalf of my sister Michelle Calingasan Aguas (41 years old and is a “PWD” or Person With Disability).

In 2012, my sister was diagnosed with Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS) which is a rare, progressive type of neuromuscular disorder that causes muscle nerve cells to slowly break down, causing general muscle weakness and stiffness. This causes her difficulty to walk and stand for a long period and even causes involuntary movements. As of this writing, there is no treatment to such condition and what we can just do for her is seldom send her for a checkup as we cannot support her regular Physical Therapy sessions as advised by the physician.

I thought it was the worst that my family could ever experience; until a dreadful news hits us February of this year. My sister Michelle, is diagnosed with Stage 2 - Breast Cancer. We were advised that she needed to undergo Modified Radical Mastectomy that we laboriously hard pressed to materialize. Our family almost exhausted all our resources and had to go through different charity organizations just to survive this fight of my sister and unremittingly send her to chemotherapy and since then, we had been living our lives in struggle and uncertainties.

She needs to undergo a total of 18 cycles of Trastuzumab (Herceptin) chemotherapy and series of treatment protocols that will approximately cost us Php 2,995,200 (USD 59,904). At present, we were able to surpass the first 7 cycles of her treatment and we’re trying to schedule her for the 8 ^th session on March 1, 2019.

The All Mighty creator knows how I am making efforts to sustain her treatment, even in debts and financial instability. I am making this appeal to everyone who reads my story and shares a portion of their fortune. I’ll do my very best to aid my sister in this faith trial and hopes that she surpasses it.
