AIA International Cambodia Trip!!

Our Unique Curriculum

Each year we take our students on an international trip in the spring.  Our international study trips give the students the opportunity to become part of the “world classroom”.  They witness first-hand contemporary thriving communities, and also those that are especially impoverished. We teach and foster each individual towards a path of fellowship, brotherhood, and responsibility for humanity.  Past trips include Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Ireland, Russia, Eastern Europe, Spain, Sweden and Norway.

In March of this year we will be taking another trip to Cambodia. This country has a special place in our hearts because we sponsor several students and teachers at various schools in the country. One of the main events that we have scheduled during our stay in Cambodia is to the Cambodian Handicap Association. This organization cares for those who have lost limbs from mine accidents and have lost mobility due to the Polio virus. We will rent a bus and take a group of these people on a special day trip to the sea to spend time getting to know and serve them.

Each night we will take out one impoverished family and treat them to a special meal. On the last night of our stay we will hold a banquet for those who we have not had the opportunity to spend time with. On past trips the number of those who have attended has been between 15 and 30.

On a fun note, we will also be taking a trip through the mountains while riding on elephants!

How Your Donations Will Help

We open our school to students of all income levels. Your funds can lighten the burden of a family who may be struggling to pay for tuition, much less to send their child on this amazing trip. Each student is responsible for raising $1,000.00 and AIA will match that amount.  The deadline for the receipt of all funds for the Cambodia trip is the 15th of February 2013.  There are seven students and two chaperones that are planning on going this year. We are a non profit organization and are seeking to better provide real life learning for each of our students.
