As part of our social responsibility project for the year, Medix pharmacy is assisting Ahmed Timol Secondary school located on the West rand collect funds and donations which will be utilized for a number of projects throughout the year.. At present the school is extremely under resourced as the majority of learners hail from the informal settlements characterized by a high poverty index and unemployment. Many learners can not afford school fees but can not and must not be denied an education. The funds will be utilised to fully equip the kitchen in the newly built school hall as well as tar the pathway leading from the main school gate to the hall.Take note that you do not need to give a huge donation in order to make a difference. Every cent counts. The school is named after the great struggle stalwart, Mr Ahmed Timol who fought for non-racialism and for equality, freedom and justice for all and hence in his memory please help us reach our target by the 27th of October which coincides with his 48th death anniversary.
I urge and appeal to all ex students of Ahmed Timol Secondary school to please make a contribution. Remember, it is through this school that you gained an education. Many students from this school studied further to complete their tertiary education and have accomplished great heights in life. It is time to give back. Let us be the change we want to see. Let us be instrumental in helping others acquire a good education. Our country can only improve through education.
Please take note that the school is registered as a non profit organization and hence a section 18A certificate can be issued upon donation for tax exemption purposes. The school principal Mr Sagren Naidoo can be contacted at (011) 413- 1323 for further enquiries especially with regards to the section 18 A tax exemption certificate. I urge all companies and corporates to also come on board and make a contribution towards a good worthy cause.
Thanking all of you in advance for your contributions. God bless!
