A Heart for Azhraf

I am Marwa Asaari - Ko and this is my son, Azhraf A. Ko, born last May 28, 2019. He was born with a Congenital Heart Disease Complex Type.

When he was 3 days old, doctors noticed a murmur in his heart beat. A 2D Echo request was given and we were scheduled for the sonogram. The test was done and interpreted by a Pedia-Cardiologist, thus, he was diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease, Complex. We were devastated and couldn’t possibly believe why our angel could be suffering like this when he was still a week old. We consulted at Philippine Heart Center. The Pedia-Cardiologist proposed that the sole management is through Open Heart Surgery to be done as soon as possible. They require surgery or other interventions within the earliest weeks of life for the reason that further complications will arise if done at a later age.

Azi has gone through much in his short life, but I know he is a fighter. I believe that he can overcome this. We can overcome this! With our decision to battle for his life, treatment for congenital heart disease requires extensive financial resources, including the costs associated with hospitalization and the surgery he will go through. As a result of unexpected and significant medical fees, we are experiencing extreme challenges in our financial expenses. At this instance, we need approximately Php 1,000,000 (One Million Pesos) to cover the operation my son would undergo. We need roughly an amount of Php 250 000 as a down payment to be able to admit my son at Philippine Heart Center.
