A healing family

After 20 months of being homeless we finally have our own apartment. My name is Jennifer and I am the mother to two teenage daughters. After a bitter break up in March 2016 the three of us were left homeless, penniless and without a car. I slowly rebuilt our life over time buying a car, starting a house cleaning business all while moving from one strangers home to the next. In June 2017 I broke my ankle and was out of work for months. I had previously fundraised over $900 so when I was ready to start again I had the money for our own place. I also had over $800 in the bank. I moved from my last roommates house on September 20th 2017 into our new apartment. I went back for my car a few weeks later and the roommate put sugar in the gas tank and the car was out of service. In that same time frame Indiana placed a levy on my bank account and took every penny. Finally, I had waited months to collect child support that is $25,000 behind and the courts cancelled the hearing because they didn't deliver the paperwork.

Long story short, we are three people who have been through hell for a long period of time. My daughters finally have a stable home. It's time for us heal our hearts and return to a normal life.

I currently run my own house cleaning business but the stress of life has my health in distress. As the leader of this home it's very important for me to be emotionally strong and physically healthy. I no longer smoke cigarettes after over 20 years of being a smoker. I do not drink alcohol which I use to engage in once or twice a week. This life is now about healing and giving back.

I am asking for donations to cover Rent, nipsco, phone and food for six weeks while I build a thriving house cleaning business. This business will help other mothers care for their families financially working a legit job that pays fairly.

In the meantime my daughters and myself can heal our broken souls and give back to the community.
