After The Storm Project

About my dream project:

With the „After The Storm” Project I’d like to provide services and support for people who have lost children at any stage of pregnancy, at birth or during infancy, be it last week or 30 years ago.

This is a guided healing journey and experience through grief, pain, fear and any concerns. The program is a comfort and inspiration station, includes online videos, workbooks, modules, closed and private groups. It also includes the losses and their treatments, many practical considerations, post-loss tips.

The funds will be used for:

• Website
  

upload the videos, the notes, the workbooks, a complete support program

• Start a foundation in Hungary

to draw attention to the prenatal loss, the trauma of grieving a baby

• Create little memorial boxes in hospitals

honor the life our little ones we lost

• Make a tour and organise events in Hungary to reach people who wants to be healed
  
  
• Make workshops and webinars, online conferences for helpers; group facilitators, peer supporters, counsellors, nurses, midwifes, doctors or doulas etc.
  
  
• Book publishing

My dream is a book about the whole theme, different types of losses (miscarriage, stillbirth, ectopic pregnancy, SIDS, neonatal loss, IVF, etc.), the ideas, the tips, the healing steps to survive the loss of a baby - everything I made and invested in this project.

I believe that every women and men deserve the support they need and to grieve in a supportive environment.

My goal is to change the taboo nature of baby loss, allowing a more open discussion and acceptance about the subject.

I need the funds as soon as possible, because the program is ready to go and I know that there are a lot of women, who need immediate help to relieve pain and a guiding light after the storm.

About me:

My name is Nikolett.

I live in Hungary with my family. I have a great and beautiful son, who is 2 years old now.

I am a certified birth and postpartum doula of DONA International, providing birth and postpartum doula services.

As a birth doula, it is my goal to support women through pregnancy, labor, and to help adjusting to life with a newborn. My job is to support them in whatever decisions they make and be a complementary member of their birth team.

As a postpartum doula (after the baby is born), I stay a couple of hours a day, to assist with bonding, breastfeeding and help the family settle in. I can help with infant feeding, care and go over any concerns.

Other services included caesarean section and VBAC support, processing emotions after a difficult birth journey, IVF and loss post-IVF, pregnancy post-loss, adoption, premature birth.
