African Orphanage and Animal Unit

I will be spending the best part of a month in the South of Africa this June/July as a volunteer in both Cape Town and NamibiaPart 1:I fly out to Cape town on 27 June to spent 2 weeks working with infants and young children (new borns - 7years) in an orphange in the suburbs of Cape Town. I will be helping with teaching and caring for the underpriveledged children within those two weeks. Duties include: sports; drama; art; music; excursions; feedings; laundry; cooking and much more.Part 2:I will then fly across the south of Africa to Namibia to a wildlife conservation situated in a natural savannah area where I will help care for orphaned and injured wildlife such as cheetahs, lions, wild dogs and baboons. My activities here will include caring for the on a daily basis; help with research and game drives as well as building new inclosers for the animals.I have set my target at £1000 in the hope I can raise that in the short amount of time before I head off. Any extra money that I may be luck enough to raise will all go straight to the projects I am attending to try and improve and assist the work and condition of such places
