African Cup of Nations Magazine

Africa for the World

You may or may not know that every two years there is a big celebration going on in Africa. Between all the wars going on and poverty the African Cup of Nations brings happiness to an entire continent. This colorful tournament however isn’t getting the attention it needs.?

Two years ago Eurosport and I made a special African Cup of Nations platform. It consisted an interactive magazine and a website. And it was a huge success in the Netherlands and Belgium. In three weeks time the website got over 6000 unique visitors and over 12.000 visits. The magazine was downloaded 1500 times and read online by 500 people. Those numbers are very good if you consider it is just in 2 small countries.

The upcoming tournament is in my native country and I would like to launch another magazine this time. Every two years you will find a European Championship or World Cup magazine in the stores. Why not a digital African Cup of Nations magazine. Making a print edition could be possible but since everyone has a smartphone, tablet or PC you can make it interactive and use it as a second screen.  

You can be a part of this adventure and make this possible. I need the money for photo rights, arranging interviews, designing the magazine and so on. The project will go on, no matter what. It only depends on how much funds we can get which will decide whether it will be a bigger magazine or not. One thing is for sure. It will be for FREE available on a special Facebookpage. If we get enough funds we could also decide to print the magazine and spread it for free. Last years magazine was in Dutch, this time we will focus on the bigger picture with an English version.  

We already made the start and hopefully you can help us finish it. Anything is possible and we can use every euro. If you donate your name will be mentioned in the magazine.
