Campaign Story
My name is Johanita Scholtz im now 19 years old. I started playing Badminton at the age of 5. Where a talent scout recruited me at the age of 12 to join the Free State team!
ACHIEVEM
My achievements are •u13 nationals :I got a triple champion ( winning the singles, doubles and mixed events)
U15 nationals : triple crowned and bring back 4 golds from the All Africa under 15
U17 nationals :I won triple champ
U19 nationals :won all three titles and got silver for singles and gold for woman’s doubles at the All Africa under 19
Senior nationals I had the opportunity to win a triple champ and win the singles title and bronze in woman’s doubles at the All Africa in Morocco
Badminton had a very large impact on my life and financially tough on my family to compete in interprovincial, nationals and international tournaments.
Badminton World Confederation identified to train in Denmark for a month. This training will help me grow, improve and ensure good results at the All Africa in Egypt February !
My main goal is to ensure that South africa become the top country in Africa by the end of 2021! By getting funding this could help bring in medals and help South Africa to compete at the next All Africa , Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games!
This funding will cover the cost of flights, accommodation, entry fees and training. I have goals that are possible to reach but need funding to achieve them!
