I have decided to travel around Africa as a volunteer English teacher. My reason is simple, over the past 5 years living in Australia I have learn to understand the importance of education. When I first migrated to Australia as an immigrant I found it really hard to understand the Australia culture, everything around me was so different. I was afraid to take part into activities as language was my barriers. after few years of learning English I then started to understand the culture and the way people here do things, even though it wasn't that easy but with the sufficient help given to me I managed to make use of it. After going through all those challenges my friends and I decided that we should open up a volunteer organization were we will be able to assist newly African migrant in getting things they needed to make life easy for them in Australia. We then decided that we should implement a strategies that will help to improve people’s life. We started to target issue such as literacy, numeracy and technology to help improve their communication skills.

The mission of the organization is to empower newly African arrivals in Australia to shape their own future by working with them to improve their literacy, numeracy and technology skills. We believe that these were the things that people find most difficult understand when they first came to this country, so by helping them with those skills will enable them to communicate effectively within their community/workplace.

Our long term goals is to partner with other international organization to assist those people living in a disadvantage places, people who have no other means to survive, we believe that the key to sustainable development is to carefully listen and understand the true needs of the people in the communities, and to do this we are going to use a grass roots approach so that we can put the needs of the community at the centre.

We believe if we work together as a team we will be able to meet the needs of those people. With your support am going to be able provide some assistance to those children that are ineed and also help with my some of my travel cost
