Affiliates Give Back – Fundraising for Humana People to People

Hey everyone!

With Affiliate World Europe coming up, I was thinking about what how powerful it is to get a group of entrepreneurs together. With our attitudes, talents and smarts we can achieve amazing things together. I wanted to use that force to positively impact society, the environment and the world around us. We all have blessings and it's in sharing and giving that we find happiness.

If we band together and all give a little, together we can make a big positive impact - who will help me?

I'm launching a fundraiser to raise money for Humana People to People, which is a network of 30 organisations promoting environmental protection, solidarity, cooperation and development in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas since 1987.

They have a charity branch in Barcelona where their main goal is to protect the environment and to develop co-operation projects that promote community development, training, education and awareness. Through textile reusing, they support these projects whilst also fighting climate change. As we all know, the environment is in crisis. This charity is a great way to give back to the beautiful Spanish landscape which is hosting us, and also to help others start their own entrepreneurial path in small communities.

I have approached Affiliate World to support our fundraising project and they have pledged to double every $ that we raise up to the value of $5,000! If we can raise $5,000, Affiliate World will double it to reach $10,000 - but there's one catch, WE MUST RAISE THE MONEY BEFORE THE END OF AFFILIATE WORLD EUROPE BY 9 JULY!

Humana's current projects are below:

*Clothes Collection Globally* - Citizens of Europe and USA’s major cities become partners in development by donating their used clothes and shoes. Humana People to People turns these clothes with zero value into products with considerable value through this climate-friendly business model. Income is generated internationally and locally for development programs while creating jobs and stimulating economic growth in the receiving countries.

*Fighting Climate Change* - Climate change mitigation and adaptation methods are shared among the community and a movement of activism is encouraged to reduce as well as reverse the negative effects of climate change. Communities join together to improve their livelihoods in a sustainable and climate-friendly way. In Europe and the USA, operations have a mitigation component where promotion of secondhand clothing reduces the environmental impact of textile production and waste.

*Promoting Health and Fighting Diseases* - Health-oriented programs empower people to take charge of their health through many different initiatives. Total Control of the Epidemic –TCE and HOPE Humana both deal with the HIV and AIDS and TB epidemics. Community Health Agents programs deal with basic health and specifically with reproductive, maternal and child health. Sanitation and health are further applied as cross-cutting issues in other lines of work.
