Finally got a 3/1 house, after being wrongly evicted and homeless for over 7 1/2 months. My girls and I moved into our new home on January 27th, 2019. We are feeling hugely blessed, and enjoying our new home immensely. In order to move in early and save some money, I opted to move in AS IS...so it was up to me and my girls to clean, repair and paint. The Realtor promised to supply all the paint and supplies, but that never happened. So, we have moved in and have been cleaning, but still need to paint. My Tax Refund arrived and due to my car dying, I had to use it on getting a new car. We were blessed to find a 2008 Nissan Rogue SL Sport, for $3,500. So it took most of my refund and have paid on all of my bills for the month of March 2020.

Now I'm multi-tasking, trying to get my home business back up and running, and trying to get the house cleaned and arranged. All the while, trying to keep a nasty infection at bay. So, I can't push myself too hard. Due to my continued infections, despite months of several antibiotics and trips to the ER and Family Doctor, I had to resign from my part-time job at IHOP and stop driving for DoorDash/UberEats. So, the extra money is no longer available. I'm trying to focus on my Minky and Weighted Blankets that I make, and am needing fabric and supplies. So, I am keeping this campaign up and running, so I can get a little help to become successful at my home business.

I’m a single disabled mom of three gorgeous daughters, ages 23,16 and 9 and one handsome son, age 21. It’s just me and my two youngest. My 9 year old is also autistic and so very amazing. I’m a lucky mom.

We lost everything in the eviction, even most of my home business supplies, as I make Minky and Weighted Blankets at Jessyka’s Minky Dreams. Can I ask for prayers? God Bless you all! We also need items for our home, like a vaccuum...ect.

Thank you for taking your time to read my campaign and consideration in donating. God Bless you all.

I’m slowly pulling out of the hole, but it's still a struggle.

I have so much more to say and explain, but I don’t want to write a book. I am happy to show proof of anything you require, if you need. I would be extremely grateful for your help with any donation and prayers!

  • I love you sister. I wish I could have helped you so much more but moving here we spent everything we had. We just trying to get back on her feet two and we've been hit for about a week and a half of snow so just trying to keep going, it's been hard. And I'm right now taking my third day off trying to get into the doctor's cuz I hurt my lower back so this is going to kill my paycheck.

FINALLY...we get to move in...

Update posted by Raven Marlett at 10:06 pm

I am beyond excited to be finally moving into our house after being homeless for 7 1/2 months. For a month of that time, we knew we had a house, but was waiting for the occupants to move out of it. During that wait, I was diagnosed with a severe. . . . .

5 days until we can move in...

Update posted by Raven Marlett at 03:28 am

So excited, and stressed at the same time. I’ve had to use my disability money this month for our AirBNB, brakes, food and Gas. I haven’t worked for two weeks, due to issues with my car and still fighting this severe middle ear infection. On top of it, Jessyka brought. . . . .

Update posted by Raven Marlett at 03:20 pm

Been really busy lately trying to keep my daughters healthy, trying to catch up on sewing orders and getting ready for our churches “Tallahassee Christmas Pageant”. Jasmine and I sing in the Christmas pageant and have had practices, rehearsals and performances for the past week. We had two performances yesterday. . . . .

Freezing weather ....unexpectedly!!

Update posted by Raven Marlett at 12:55 pm

When we got wrongly evicted in June, we didn’t think we would be homeless still when winter hit. So we lost all of our warm clothes and jackets. It is now freezing and we are in dire need of warm clothes and jackets. Please consider donating, so we don’t freeze!

Thank you so much for the two donations....

Update posted by Raven Marlett at 07:59 pm

I’ve only received two donations so far, but I’m completely blessed, for your help. Things have gone from bad to worse as I didn’t get any state aid (cash/food stamps) this month and they have me cut off for next month as well. They say that I’m making too much. . . . .
