My husband and I got married last year March 2018. Ever since then we had been trying to conceive but was not able to. He is 44 years old and I am 35 years old. We live a very simple and minimalist life and even with my husband's business recent shut down and owings to the bank, we are still able to survive daily.
We had not plan to adopt but an opportunity came when a friend informed us about a baby that is due in Sept 2019.
The biological mother had initially planned to abort the baby and after much coaxing she decided to give the baby up for a fee. As such, I could not pay the fee as she had asked for a ridiculous amount and had decided not to pursue the baby. This all happened in April 2019.
I prayed together with my husband and we prayed to God telling him that if the lady comes back and agreed to the terms and condition we had set the baby was meant to be ours.
Not thinking about it, early June 2019, the baby's biological mother contacted me and said she would like to give the baby to us and has agreed to the terms and condition we had set.
However, instead of have 9 months to prepare we have only 3 months to prepare.
The money we are requesting for will be used for the following:
1. Clinic Checkups (The biological mother has not seen a doctor yet she she knew about the pregnancy)
2. Hospital fees
3. Umbilical Cord Blood Banking: The umbilical cord fluid is loaded with stem cells. They can treat cancer, blood diseases like anemia, and some immune system disorders, which disrupt your body's ability to defend itself.
The fluid is easy to collect and has 10 times more stem cells than those collected from bone marrow.
Stem cells from cord blood rarely carry any infectious diseases and are half as likely to be rejected as adult stem cells. (Taken from Web MD)
4. Flight back to my hometown Kuching, Sarawak to ensure that the Baby will have special privileges as a Sarawakian.
5. To purchase a baby cot, stroller and car seat. (These are the most expensive items other items we will be able to purchase on our own).
With that, I hope that we will be able to raise as much as we can with the little time we have.
Thank you and God Bless
