Hello Family and Friends My Name Is Tiffany Douman and I live in South Africa, Johannesburg and this is our story...

We come to you today in need of support for my daughter's adoption Legal fees.

In October 2012 I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Taya-Leigh. Unfortunately when she was 4 months old I left our abusive environment with her biological father.

I raised my daughter with the help of my family. Her father did not contribute to her livelihood since I left him. He hasn't seen her nor communicated with her since she was 3 years old.

Fast forward to 2015 I met the man of my dreams and got married a couple of months later. He took on the father role with such ease. He became the constant male figure in our lives, the father figure my daughter needed. He took on such a huge responsibility and never complained. He did whatever was needed and more when it came to our daughter.

My husband has made the decision to adopt Taya-Leigh. To our surprise we were a bit overwhelmed with the legal costs for him to be her father legally and the process is not as easy as we we thought it would be. The total cost to have a social worker handle our case is R20000.

The funds will be used to pay the social worker in order for her to appear in court when necessary, file paperwork with the Magistrate's office. For her to do the necessary investigations to have the adoption approved.

The social workers fees will need to be paid in full by the conclusion of the adoption process. She has been kind enough and has asked us to pay a deposit in order for her to take on the case and pay her off by the end of the adoption.
