Adopting Bunny the Sloth for Athalia’s 18th!

hey guys! athalia here :) if you're looking at my fundraiser, you'd probably know that I really love animals, whether it's from me sending you pics of my pets or going to the zoo together or hearing about my aspirations to pursue vet science in the future :') but the baseline is that the 18th birthday is a milestone and it's usually celebrated elaborately by being showered with many gifts, so I figured that if people are going to spend money on presents and celebrations, might as well channel it into a cause that I'm passionate about!

i've been volunteering with the Mandai Wildlife Reserve (previously Wildlife Reserves Singapore) since 2019, and i've really seen the effort that they put into taking care of their animals, from the tiny stick insects to the big cats we love seeing. for those out there who are worried about inhumane zoos, MWR not only takes part in rehabilitating wild animals but also participates in breeding programmes, many of which have been successful, helping to protect the biodiversity around us (science moment hehe) and providing aid to endangered species.

all the money from the crowdfund will go straight into adopting BUNNY THE SLOTH (@bunnythesloth on Instagram), one of the most precious animals you'll meet when you visit the zoo :) the money will help provide him with enrichment like treats and toys, and also medical equipment to give him top-notch healthcare. i think that's a pretty solid reason to donate to my crowdfund so please do! any amount is greatly appreciated!
