My sister is a Filipina nurse who had spent more than 10 years in Saudi Arabia and all her life as nurse looking after sick people in the Philippines and abroad. in the last 7 years, she has been a hemodialysis nurse in King Salman Kidney Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She came home every year to her hometown in the Philippines. While at home she took care of our mother who died from cardiac failure in 2012 and now our father who had a stroke in the same year.

When she came home in last 2015, she had a gall bladder operation. Then she went back to work in Riyadh. In 2016 she came back and had her medical check up she had been losing weight and had difficulty breathing. Then she was diagnosed of lung cancer. She had to go back to Riyadh to finish her contract and eventually resign.

In Riyadh, she had a hard time. She continued to work for another two months and sometimes was sent home when she felt very very tired. She continued losing weight.

December 25, 2016 Christmas Day, she went home to Philippines, resigned from her job in Saudi. She underwent tests, biopsy, and other laboratories. She was diagnosed with an undifferentiated squamous cell carcinoma. The CA has also affected her liver. She has a mass in her lungs, lymphoma on right axilla (thus was advised not to have surgery).

She underwent 5 sessions of chemotherapy and must continue to undergo radiotherapy for the enlarged lymphoma on her axilla and nodules in her clavicle and the rest of the lung. Recently she had to postpone her radiotherapy because of her very low hemoglobin count. She underwent blood transfusion which went well and increased her blood count to normal. Soon again she will continue her therapy and whatever else her oncologist would prescribe.

As she resigned from work, she had used up most of her hard-earned savings for her medical expenses on top of looking after other things.. This is a non-stop battle and her expenses are really getting high up.

It is recommended she should undergo a more conservative treatment like tomotherapy but it's just too expensive for daily treatment. She has to be on Radiation therapy for another 27 days. Even then, she will undergo more treatment.

She will be needing 200$ for each treatment $1500 for the ct planning, 2000$ for doctor's fee. If the immunotherapy is opted it would cost 36000$ in total plus her supplements and medicines that would be around 5000$.

We have this done and I know that this is not what she would suggest as she would be embarrassed. So we took the initiative to do this for her. At least this way, our friends and other helping hands will be assured that their donations will go to the right person.

Please help her. She has helped so many sick people. Yet no one has ever thought of helping her now. This is the only way we can reach out to people. Let's take care of her now. Thank you in advance.
