Adlin’s Kitty Birthday Fundraiser!

Hello all! I turn 24 this year, which is by itself incredibly uneventful, but it is my first birthday away from most of my loved ones back in Singapore. Thus, in lieu of gifts/dinner treats/surprise birthday flowers this year, it would mean the world to me if you would consider making a donation to Milo's Sanctuary, an animal welfare organisation that does amazing work rescuing and rehabilitating primarily special needs cats.

Why A Birthday Fundraiser?

As some of you would know, back in Singapore, I was involved in rescuing and fostering cats. I know how difficult and expensive this work is (especially since I was doing it as a college kid!), which is why I greatly admire the work that is done by animal welfare organisations all over the world. Being in Japan, I have been unable to do the same work I do back in Singapore, for a number of reasons, and I hope to be able to contribute at least monetarily to help out these organisations that are out there doing the things I wish I could be doing. On my birthday, I can think of no better thing to do than to invite everyone I love to be a part of this with me.

Why Milo's Sanctuary?

Before I settled on Milo's, I did a ton of research, everything from WWF to local shelters. But Milo's has always held a special place in my heart, because they operate under the belief that all cats deserve a second chance at life -- whether they are disabled, special needs, or senior. When I was fostering cats, this was something that hit me hard, because I knew how difficult it was to even adopt out cats that were healthy.

Milo's is an all-volunteer shelter and all donations they receive go to the care of their kitty residents. To find out more about them and the wonderful work they do, please check out their website and their Facebook page .

How Much Should I Donate?

Every cent counts. I understand we are all in different points in our life so while I have set a fundraising goal, I appreciate every single dollar that you can spare for these sweet kitties. Everything you donate will go straight to Milo's (excluding fees collected by GoGetFunding). At the end of the campaign, I will make the donation, and every one of you will get an update with the proof of donation. :)
