Prior to the Covid19 outbreak I suffered a debilitating left foot injury which saw me pretty much confined to my room for 3 months. Some of the damage recovered but I am unable to walk normally and this is putting strain on my knees and hips, and the lower bone in the big toe (metatarsal) periodically fractures or dislocates which may not sound like much but it is very painful and prevents me from getting out much.

The medication I take for Bipolar Disorder causes drowsiness and between the two and lockdowns I have become largely confined for a year. I realise that in the current situation many of us find this difficult, but it is my single coping mechanism and means of maintaining basic health.

The doctor advises the foot requires reconstructive surgery to prevent lifelong disability.

In addition to which I am being told by the cardiologist to have an urgent heart MRI due to heart pains, and I am out of insurance coverage and savings, having been delayed abroad during Covid19 and paying for treatment so far.

A lifetime of helping others, a year of struggling to keep myself afloat in circumstances I could not have imagined, and I am reaching out and asking for help with medical expenses to rehabilitate, the heart MRI and related tests most urgent and according to the doctors potentially lifesaving.
