Acts of Kindness – Sri Lanka

This is the ongoing fundraiser to support people (and sometimes dogs) in need of urgent medical care in Sri Lanka. My name is Tania O'Brien and I come from New Zealand.  My Close friend and business partner Nilmini Sandanayaka Mudiyanselage (let's just call her Nilu) comes from the small village of Hiripitya in Kurunegala, Sri Lanka. Together with the help of my mother Zilda Williams who supports the legal and administrative side of things from her base in New Zealand we are trying to help more and more people in need. Over the last five years we have been contacted by numerous desperate parents needing money for their child's urgent medical care - together we have saved and improved the lives of many small children  of Sri Lanka. On one occasion we paid for the funeral when two small children were orphaned following their mothers sudden death, on others we paid for heart surgery when parents were destitute and were helplessly watching their child get weaker and weaker, knowing they could do nothing at all. When Nilu contacts me I act fast to send the money needed, this fundraiser ensures we have access to urgent funds at all times.
