Achieving Marriage Equality in Hong Kong is a social campaign launched by Hong Kong Marriage Equality (HKME), a community-focused, non-partisan organization. 
Our mission is to achieve freedom to marry for same-sex couples in Hong Kong by winning the hearts and minds of the people.

The right to marry is recognized as a fundamental human right, and we believe every person should be treated equally under the law regardless of their gender, sexual orientation and other characteristics. Yet, same-sex couples are barred from tying the knot and sharing their joy with families and friends in Hong Kong. We launched the campaign so that same-sex couples can participate in the age-old institution of marriage, and celebrate their love.

The lesson we learned from jurisdictions that have legalized same-sex marriage is the importance of building public support. The very first step in our campaign is to conduct a public opinion research to help us understand how we can best rally their support. To this end, we have commissioned a study from global research firm IPSOS, but we will need your support.
