Achieve the Dream

Hello Friends,

my name is Eric Hernandez and i am currently 23 years old. I reside in Lemoore, Ca (a small city outside of Fresno, Ca) and i thank you for taking the time to look into my fundraising. I hope that by you looking into this you will have made the decision to assist me in my journey to become a professional soccer player. God has blessed me with opportunities to further my career in soccer and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. My sole purpose in all of this is to glorify Him with the talents and skills he has given me and give back to my community and those who don't believe that dreams do come true. It is a difficult road ahead of me but I am taking all the necessary steps I need to prepare myself physically and mentally. I work full time and provide for myself and my wife and she's has been a blessing in pushing me to chase my dream. I am currently saving money myself to aide me in this upcoming trip but support is much needed to help me advance closer to making it a reality. 

HOW I QUALIFIED FOR SWEDEN/FINLAND SHOWCASING

First and foremost, God gave me the strength to be elevated to such a blessing. On day when trainings weren't great or motivation was running low, He was always there to push me harder. You may be wondering how i came across this opportunity. This originated from my desire to test myself against higher competition and advance to the next level in soccer. I had seen online that an agency called PSC soccer academy (professional soccer combines) was holding trials in San Diego in December 2014. I was doing all that i could to save for this trip but due to my recent marriage in November 2014, it was very difficult to achieve. So, I went online once again and seen through another agency called Ax Soccer Tours that they were holding trials in Irvine, Ca in January 14,15 and 16th of 2015. So i set my sights on this and knew that it was now or never. I reached out to my community for assistance and the response was amazing. I was able to go on the trip fully funded and fully backed with support from back home. Down in Irvine we trained for 3 vigorous days against elite competitions from across the States; displaying our talents in from of coaches from Sweden, New York and Tulsa. After these 3 amazing days of an unforgettable opportunity, 18 out of 60-70+ people were given the privilege and blessing to travel this summer to play in another trial showcasing in front of professional European coaches against professional European teams. I was selected and was shocked to receive such amazing news. So now, i am looking forward to traveling this summer to this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

GETTING INVOLVED IN MY FUNDRAISER

Getting involved in my fundraising will help me move forward in my life to actually create a reality that was once a dream from a young boys heart. Their are many soccer players that i know that would love to have this chance to shine on a grander scale to a higher level of audience and believe me, i am not taking it lightly. I had trained almost everyday to get myself to the combine and now that i have this showcasing my trainings are getting much more rigorous. I would love for my own community, the one that i've grown to love and give back to , to help me advance to my dream. My ultimate goal is to be a prime example to young teens and young adults that no matter what, dreams can come true. It isn't easy and it takes lots and lots and lots of hard work but if you really want something out of life, you create your own opportunities.  So, by donating to my cause you would be planting a seed that i could use to later on bless another person who may be on the verge of giving up or quitting in life.
